You are passionate about supporting people with disability to live meaningful, connected lives. You value respectful, person-centred practice and enjoy working collaboratively with others.
You hold tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in areas such as psychology, applied behaviour analysis, speech pathology, occupational therapy, counselling, criminology, disability, education, mental health, music therapy, psychotherapy, special education, social work, sociology, or related fields.
You will also require:
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a privately insured vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• An active ABN
• Professional indemnity and public liability insurance

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
• Work directly with NDIS participants to understand their goals, strengths, and support needs
• Collaborate with families, schools, support workers, accommodation providers, and allied health professionals
• Conduct assessments, observations, and interviews to inform practice
• Develop and implement behaviour support plans
• Provide coaching and education to participants and their support networks
• Select clients that align with your skills and interests
• Support participants of all ages and with a wide range of support needs
You’ll have access to ongoing learning opportunities covering positive behaviour support, trauma-informed practice, human rights, restrictive practices, safety, telepractice, functional assessment and formulation.
Clinical support includes regular one-to-one mentoring, optional peer supervision, live training sessions, and self-paced learning modules. You’ll also receive guidance to support your registration requirements with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
As a contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to structure your workday in a way that suits you. This may include working from home, delivering services via telepractice, or supporting participants in person.
