At Fairview Positive Behaviour Support, we believe every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported. We partner with individuals, families, and support teams to reduce behaviours of concern and restrictive practices, while also providing effective behaviour support to build skills for independence.
Our approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and guided by evidence-based practice, including functional behaviour assessments tailored to individual needs.
We specialize in supporting people across regional and rural Queensland, including areas like Bundaberg and Gladstone, where access to services can be limited.
We are committed to making support practical and achievable in everyday life — helping people experience calmer days, stronger relationships, and brighter futures.
Understanding why behaviours occur and identifying triggers and needs.
Short-term safety-focused plans will be implemented while a comprehensive behaviour support plan is developed.
Long-term, person-centred plans incorporate behaviour support with proactive strategies and skill-building supports.
We provide advice, reporting, and strategies focused on behaviour support to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices in alignment with NDIS requirements.
Practical coaching for families, carers, and support staff to build confidence and consistency.
Supports that focus on safety, independence, and relationships incorporate evidence-based practices, ensuring meaningful daily activities and personal choice.
Clear, evidence-based reports to support NDIS applications, reviews, and decision-making.
At Fairview PBS, our work is led by our Director, who brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and lived experience to behaviour support. As a parent to a child with Autism and ADHD, she also holds qualifications in psychology, health science, and a background in equine therapy. With over seven years of experience providing therapeutic support, she has worked with a wide range of individuals, including children, adolescents, and adults with diverse needs.
Growing up on a dairy farm in rural Canada and now raising a family in regional Queensland, she understands the strengths and challenges of rural and regional communities. This upbringing has instilled a deep appreciation for resilience, hard work, and connection to community—values that guide our practice today.
Her approach combines evidence-based practice with a down-to-earth, practical perspective, including functional behaviour assessments. She is passionate about making behaviour support accessible to families and individuals in rural and regional areas, ensuring that distance and location are never a barrier to receiving high-quality, person-centred support.
At Fairview PBS, we believe in building genuine connections, working alongside people in their own environments, and empowering individuals to thrive in everyday life.
